My Birthday Part Deux

Our tour kicked off at noon.

This is where we eat breakfast. 

Marcy and Katherine are sisters that design patterns for Vogue and Butterick patterns.  They are our tour guides. We all introduced ourselves and then went off to a "welcome lunch".  The food is very French and it's just not my thing. But I did try some sort of ravioli with a mushroom sauce.  Did not like it.  I ordered Prime Rib with mashed potatoes.  The potatoes were ok but that meat was not my thing.  That's ok.  I am a very picky eater and at least I tried.  LOL. I ate a chocolate soufflé for dessert with ice cream. THAT was yummy.

After eating we headed back to the hotel to hear a fashion historian give us a talk about the petit robe noir which means little black dress.  She is a collector of couture clothing and at one time worked for a world known designer, but I can't remember who it was at this moment. She brought a few of her dresses for us to see and feel and examine.  SO COOL!
