Happy Birthday to Me!!

Today marks my half-century. It's the whole reason this trip was even considered. So thankful I am able to do this, and so thankful Ann could come too.

I had to go back and correct some of my postings. I was a little sleep deprived. Hopefully you got some giggles if you read stuff before I fixed it.  I don't promise that there won't be more.  Still a bit off with the time change and didn't sleep much last night.

My son, Logan, educated me about some of the cultural "norms", and he told me the French eat EVERYTHING with a fork and knife. So as Ann and I ate our Pizza yesterday we resisted the urge to pick it up and eat it with our hands. It was not an easy task.  But it did force me to slow down and enjoy each bite. We enjoyed a Coke too...4.50 Euro...worth every penny.

This morning we ate breakfast at our hotel. They had breads, meats, cheese and fruit. They served freshe-squeezed orange juice and croissants. They had cereal and yogurt as well.

We strolled over to a store, Monoprix. They have a little bit of everything. The kids clothes are precious!  We needed some bottled water.  We ended up with a few other things as well. The lady that checked us out was very friendly.  She spoke English for us and welcomed us to Paris.

It's been sprinkling this morning and it may be rainy off and on today. We meet up with the other ladies in just under 2 hours.
